We are on the hunt for a motivated and dynamic Business Development Manager to spearhead our Business development team towards achieving unparalleled success. As an integral part of our ambitious company, you will be tasked with the critical role of expanding our sales operations, nurturing customer relationships, and steering the team towards exceeding sales targets. Your innovative leadership will be key in propelling our company’s growth by optimising our sales pipeline and refining our sales strategies.

 

Hybrid - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday in our Ruddington, Nottinghamshire office.

 

Salary for this role is £70k uncapped OTE

Responsibilities

Strategic Sales Planning: Craft and implement strategic sales plans that not only meet but exceed our sales targets, thereby ensuring the company's growth and expansion.


Customer Relationship Management: Build and sustain robust, enduring relationships with customers, understanding and catering to their needs to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.


Team Leadership and Development: Spearhead the sales development team by overseeing hiring, conducting training sessions, and evaluating performance to cultivate a high-performing team environment.


Market Analysis: Stay ahead of market trends, identify potential market shifts, and understand the competitive landscape to adapt strategies accordingly.


Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and product development teams to ensure our brand remains consistent and appealing, thereby boosting sales efforts.


Sales Forecasting: Provide accurate sales forecasts, contributing to the strategic planning and budgeting processes.


Competitive Strategy: Regularly assess the competitive environment and make necessary adjustments to our sales strategy to maintain a competitive edge.


Networking and Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings to network with potential clients and promote our brand.

Skills and Experience

- Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience as a sales executive or manager with a history of meeting or surpassing sales targets.
- Industry Experience: 1 year experience in a similar role, ideally within our industry, showcasing an ability to adapt and succeed in our business environment.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional ability to lead, mentor, and motivate a team, with proven people management skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong capability to drive the sales process from planning to closure, with a robust understanding of business and industry specifics.
- Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels within the organisation.
