Role Purpose

  • Annual Salary - £18,000 (2 Year Contract)
  • Hybrid - 3 days in the office, 2 days at home
  • Estimated start date - September 2025
  • English and Maths GSCE desirable, but not essential. 
  • Skills Day - 18th February 2025
  • Qualification - Level 2 or 3

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will play a crucial role in providing effective and reliable technical support to your colleagues across the business. Whether it's troubleshooting hardware and software issues, configuring and installing new systems, or offering hands-on training and support, you'll be at the heart of ensuring our operations run smoothly. No prior technical skills are necessary, as we provide comprehensive training; however, a strong interest in technology and a basic understanding of Windows operating systems and computer hardware are essential. You'll have the opportunity to learn from some of the brightest minds in IT and collaborate across various teams including Infrastructure & Technical Solutions and Cyber Security.

Responsibilities

- Assist staff with 1st line technical support issues through our service desk, over the phone, or in person.
- Follow documented processes and procedures from our internal knowledge base to ensure consistent support.
- Install, configure, and upgrade hardware and software to keep systems running efficiently.
- Document interactions and resolutions on our service desk to maintain a seamless support experience.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of IT hardware and software to ensure resource availability.
- Provide remote support for users in locations across multiple time zones, ensuring continuity of service.
- Collaborate with other members of the IT Team to deliver projects and tasks, while regularly reporting on progress.

- Desirable: Basic knowledge of Mac OS & iOS, IT hardware, and Office 365 applications.
