We are seeking a strategic and results-driven VP of Renewals to join Ideagen. This pivotal regional executive role will focus on enhancing customer retention, satisfaction, and growth within our existing customer base. The successful candidate will lead a dedicated renewals team, ensuring that our customers derive maximum value from our solutions while driving revenue retention and minimising churn.

Responsibilities

 - Renewals strategy development & execution - Develop and implement a regional renewals strategy aligned with Ideagen’s objectives by leading the renewals process, setting metrics to maximise renewal rates and customer lifetime value, and fostering a customer-centric culture through proactive communication and strong relationship-building. 

 

- Customer retention & growth - Minimise churn and expand customer relationships by collaborating with Customer Success and Support to mitigate renewal risks, partnering with Sales for upsell opportunities, and understanding customer needs to offer tailored solutions. 

 

- Cross-functional collaboration - Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams for seamless customer lifecycle integration, ensure customer feedback informs product roadmaps, assist Marketing in creating customer stories for renewal efforts, and work with Finance and Operations for accurate forecasting and reporting of renewal metrics. 
  

- Data-driven decision making - Utilise data analytics to monitor renewals team performance and track trends, create reports and dashboards to measure team performance and customer satisfaction, and implement CRM and renewal management tools to streamline processes and enhance efficiency. 

 

- Customer advocacy - Advocate for customers by communicating their needs across Ideagen, building strong relationships with key decision-makers, and efficiently resolving escalated issues with proactive attention. 

Skills and Experience

  - Proven experience in SaaS, with a strong track record in customer retention, renewals, or customer success.
  - Leadership experience managing high-performing teams within a SaaS or technology-driven context.
  - Comprehensive understanding of SaaS business models, subscription economics, and customer lifecycle management.
  - Strong leadership and people management abilities, inspiring and developing teams effectively.
  - Demonstrated capability in implementing successful renewals strategies in high-growth environments.
  - Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  - Proficient in data analysis to drive performance improvement and decision-making.
  - Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot, ZenDesk, GainSight) and renewals automation tools.
